Bill payments and money transfers
Payportal was established in 2011 in India.
The Payportal platform connects Indian service providers such as banks, mobile, TV operators and utility companies with public through a WALLET. The platform is utilizing the advantages of PC and smart phones.
The project's goal is to provide a solution to Customers to tackle the following challenges: regular visits of different offices to pay monthly bills, cash collectors stealing, expensive and risky cross-border remittances, staying in a bank queues, non-professional service, etc.
With a use of blockchain technologies Payportal will:
- implement a cross border money transfers service between Indian migrants living abroad and their families.
- introduce a PPTL loyalty program
- decentralize data servers for ensuring wallets information safe in case of hardware failure or hackers attack
- possibly later extend the services to the nearest countries, like Nepal
